My design journey

My fascination with design and art was sparked by the charm of splash arts within a game known as League of Legends.

During my three years in high school, I delved into graphic design, acquiring a diverse set of skills that includes:
-
2D animation
-
3D animation and sculpting,
-
Logo design
-
Illustration
-
Photoshop
-
Video editing.
For a glimpse into my journey, explore my first major project. An engaging 2D/3D animation the you can watch here.

My pursuit of artistic skills led me to explore educational avenues on YouTube, where I avidly followed art videos, particularly those by the renowned artist Marc Brunet. Inspired by his work, I enrolled in his art course. Throughout this learning journey, I honed my skills in concept art and design, focusing on key areas such as:
-
Figure drawing
-
Perspective
-
Color theory
-
Anatomy
-
Character and environment design
This comprehensive course not only refined my technical abilities but also my attention to detail and strengthened my capacity for generating creative ideas.

My fascination with web design was ignited during my high school software development class. The allure of watching skilled individuals effortlessly type out complex code left a lasting impression on me.

Motivated by this curiosity, I seized an opportunity presented by a significant sale on AppBrewery. Taking the plunge, I enrolled in their course and delved into the intricacies of web development.
The experience not only expanded my knowledge but also introduced me to various techniques for crafting visually appealing and functional websites.

I pursued a Bachelor of Information Technology with a focus on Interaction Design, a journey that included a significant milestone—a major project undertaken within a team setting.
While the end result may not have been spectacular, the experience proved immensely valuable, offering insights into the intricacies of collaborative teamwork. This endeavor marked a pivotal moment in my academic and professional development.

After the university project, upon reflecting on my performance and design quality, I recognized the need for improvement. In response, I actively pursued further education through courses conducted by industry professionals.
These endeavors were vital in honing the design skills necessary for my professional growth, and I've compiled the outcomes in my Notion case studies, providing a showcase of the evolution of my capabilities.

I spent my time working as part of the creatives team at the Social Sports Association, UTS.
In this role, my focus is on generating engaging designs and graphical promotions to captivate audiences and drive participation in our events through various social media platforms.

During my time at LUXit, I transitioned from intern to contracted team member. I gained practical experience in websit UX enhancement, alongside skills in management, recruitment, social media, and communication.
This journey has been integral to my personal and professional development.

I'm currently employed at Dappa as a UX designer, collaborating with various teams including marketing, developers, and management.

Additionally, I'm enjoying exploring the unique aspects of living in Sydney and trying out all the coffee shops.

Let's create something special.
